ABOUT US
Nestled in the Kent Downs near Canterbury is Orchard Cottage Holidays, providing self catering accommodation on a family run small holding.
Whether you want to get away from the hurly burly of modern city life or simply want to explore Kent’s countryside, a holiday in one of our two orchard mobile homes (“The Summer & The Everglade”) will help you do it. We provide a quiet remote rural location with the caravans sitting in an old Kentish orchard which is both spacious and tranquil allowing you to completely unwind.
During your stay you can enjoy the farm animals, meet the horses and taste our home produce – fruit from the orchard (apple, pear, plum and cherry) and free range eggs.

THE ORCHARD
The Orchard is a beautiful and tranquil place to visit. We have five varities of eating apples including Bramley’s, Cherry Trees, Victoria Plums, Greengage’s, Giant Plums and two varieties of Pears. There is an abundance of wildlife that either lives in or visits the orchard. Ranging from Pheasant, Partridge and Quail, to Rabbits and Badgers. Also a wide variety of birds including Finches, Tits and two types of Woodpecker.
We manage the small holding with conservation in mind, using Hebridean sheep to graze the orchard. Our pigs are free range enjoying a wooded corner from April to October, providing us with excellent quality meat. We have a small number of chickens and a bantam cockerel called Lucky, these wander freely in the garden and orchard during the day.
Our holidays provide a perfect way to enjoy Kent’s countryside; whether you want to explore on foot, by bicycle or just soak up the peace and quiet on your own deck. Orchard Cottage lends itself to people wanting a quiet holiday.
